Carnage In Ekpeye Land As Rampaging Gunmen Kill Six Youth In Ahoada East, West LGAs

Rampaging gunmen suspected to be cultists was reported to have killed one person in Abarikpo community, Ahoada East LGA early morning Wednesday (May 31st,2023) and five persons in Odiereke-Ubie community Ahoada West LGA on Tuesday (30th,May,2023).

In an interview with our correspondent, Ekeakita Hector Chinem, Public Relations Officer of Akoh Youth Congress in Akoh kingdom, Ahoada East LGA said

“Ahoada East in Abarikpo community at about five minutes after 4:00, early this morning some group of cult boys who reside at neighboring community, came to Abarikpo community and went in search of about three persons .

“Unluckily, one Aburi Dickson Edi was found in his house sleeping .They batched into his house, shot him in his stomach and his intestine opened. They took bike down to their Hideout.

“Secondly, in Odiereke Ubie community, ward 9 Ahoada West LGA, precisely, five Youth were killed yesterday (Tuesday) because the community refused paying One Million naira to the hoodlums living inside the bush.

“This community don’t have money, non of their elite is available at home ,the people at home does not have money.

“When this five Youth returned from farm harvesting, just for them to meet their sudden death. They came with three bikes, killed them and left without quarreling.

The Akoh kingdom PRO described as mischievous statement credited to some Chiefs in Ekpeye ethnic Nationality in Ahoada East and West LGAs that there is no insecurity in the area. He said the Chiefs are saying so just to gain favour from the Public and their followers who are allegedly enjoying the killing.

He disclosed that killings are recorded on weekly and monthly basis in Ekpeye land.

The Akoh kingdom spokesperson called on CP Nwonyi Polycarp Emeka to showcase himself by making sure the culprits are brought to book.

According to Mr Chinem, the hideout of the hoodlums is known and he does not know why the security agencies are pampering the hoodlums.

When contacted, the Spokesperson for the Rivers State Police command, SP Grace Iringe Koko promised to get back to but was yet to do so as at press time.
