Less than 24 hours after fire explosion from a van allegedly conveying illegal petroleum refined product. aka Kpofire diesel inside GRA by KING PEREKULE JUNCTION WOJI ROAD PHASE II GRA owners of the truck are counting their losses as an unidentified persons zoomed to the scene after the incident to lament loss of 20 million naira said to the cost of purchasing the truck excluding import duties, claering charges by Nigerian customs since tax on importation of used vehicle skyrocketed to high heavens, with forex exchanging at the speed of light.

The said utility bus popularly used in carrying alleged Kpofire was curtailed by Men of  the Federal fire service. who responded to the emergency though enough damage has been done to the refuse truck parked due to breakdown.

Residents praised men of the Federal fire service who through and prompt diligence used the right chemical that stopped the inferno from consuming Buildings nearby emanating from the fire.

The service contractors who refused to speak to anyone was seen lamenting on the loss of over 30 million of his assets.

We gathered that the driver of the van plus his conductor or alleged passenger disappeared from the scene as soon as the fire escalated and Men of the NSCDC who came to the scene is yet to apprehend them.

other sources also refuted claims that the van was conveying Kpofire and attributed the courses of the  fire outbreak to overheating.

Police is yet to make an official statement on the matter.
