Former Attorney General Malami, Offers Sound Advice to ADC in Reaction To Obi and Kwankwaso Defection to NDC

Former attorney general of the federation and Kebbi State governorship aspirant, Abubakar Malami has appealed to the membership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to remain steadfast, focused, undeterred by the challenges facing the political party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Abubakar Malami made the statement through his Facebook page, encouraging the membership of the ADC to remain united; he highlighted that this challenging period for the ADC is a defining moment and not setback.

According to Malami, “the harder the challenge, the sweeter the victory”, he said, stressing that the pathway to eventual success requires confronting challenges through resilience.

He appealed to the members of the ADC in his home state, Kebbi to be wary of detractors, encouraging them to have their eyes on the goal as victory is for those who remain firm in the face of adversity.

He enjoined the Kebbi State ADC to avoid infighting and yield immediately to reconcilation necessary to maintain a common front, ideal, and commitment to working collectively towards achieving the party’s goals in the state.

Malami expressed optimism over the future of the party particularly in Kebbi State, emphasizing that through resilience, the party will emerge on top of its current challenges ahead of the 2027 general elections.

His advice comes a day after Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso led their supporter from the ADC to the Nigeria Democratic Congress, bringing to an end their membership to the coalition party.
