Gov Fubara Expresses Dismay Over Police Silence After Bomb Explosion Suspect Was Unraveled

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has expressed dismay over the silence of the Nigeria Police on the incidence of dynamite detonation some weeks ago in the State by detractors of his government.

The governor emphasized that no iota of incitement will make him a brute or oppressor as Rivers State does not exist at the whims and caprices of any individual but belongs to God.

He pointed out that the divine foundation of the State has made his administration to overcome all the trappings of his enemies who are determined to plunge the State into crisis.

Governor Fubara who disclosed this while giving his charge to the newly sworn-in commissioner, Barr Emmanuel Frank-Fubara, said the sinister plots of his detractors will continue to have a boomerang effects and put them to shame.

The governor pointed out that his administration has a common foe that is being queued behind by others, stating that every serial gang up against his administration will fail.

He said the solidarity visit and declaration of support to his administration by the people of Ikwerre Ethnic Nationality under the auspices of Ogbakor Ikwerre Cultural Organization (world wide) the apex social cultural body in Ikwerre nation, has vindicated him against the propaganda of ethnic politics peddled by some detractors.

Governor Fubara decried a situation where the law is subservient on the extremities and vicious actions of his opponents against the State, noting that he will remain focused to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Rivers State and not yield to calculated blackmail and provocations.

The governor who described the newly sworn in commissioner as a gentleman of character and reputation charged him to defend the interest of Rivers people and make the State proud.

He also directed the Secretary to the State Government to assign Barr Emmanuel Frank-Fubara the portfolio of Commissioner for Finance.
