His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS, inaugurated Governing Councils of three Rivers State tertiary institutions. The Institutions include Rivers State University, Nkpolu Oruworoko, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni and Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Port Harcourt.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara charged members of the Councils to help in raising the standard of education in the state by improving on the curriculum that includes skills acquisition programme.
Those inaugurated are Justice Mary Odili, JSC, (Rtd) Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council of Rivers State University, Nkpolu; Chief Adokiye Amiesimaka, MON, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Rumuolumeni as well as Dr. Robinson N Ewoh, Chairman of the Governing Board of Captain Elechi Amadi Polytechnic, Port Harcourt
