Roman Catholic Church priest identified as Very Rev Fr. (Major) GC Oparaekwe Rtd, has died after he went to settle a dispute between a husband and wife.
The priest who died on 17th June 2025 went to settle a misunderstanding of husband and wife in his Parish. Unfortunately, the man picked up a stick to hit his wife during the settlement and mistakenly hit the Priest. He was said to have been rushed to hospital but could not make it.
