The Head of Corporate Communication Department, and Special Adviser to the Managing Director, Indorama Eleme Petrochemical Company Limited (IEPCL) Dr. Jossy Nkwocha announced that our colleague Justice Tiennebeso Bibiyehe would stepping into his shoes as He bows out of the organization after eighteen years of meritorious services to the company
In his brief farewell Speech, Dr Nkwocha thanked Journalists for their support throughout his reins as a spokesman cum Head of Corporate Communication Department of indorama noting that he has never had media crisis in his eighteen years of services and called for a continuous collaboration with the the new head of the department.
Dr Jossy Nkwocha said the objective of the event was to thank the media for supporting him in the past 18 years and asked them to extend the same support to his successor Mr Justice Bibiye, whom he said would step into his shoes after he formally steps aside on 31st May 2025.
Also speaking at the event Chief Technical Officer (CTO) of Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals and Fertilizer Group, Mr Sivadas Deepu, eulogized the outgoing Head of Corporate Communications of the Group, Dr Jossy Nkwocha, for his meritorious services for 18 years.
He said Dr Nkwocha is a thoroughbred Communications professional who has contributed immensely to the growth of the group.
Mr Deepu who represented the Managing Director, Mr Manish Mundra, He said it is rare to find a head of department in any organization that turned the department to his image, saying Dr Nkwocha achieved the feat. He admitted that Dr Nkwocha left big shoes to be filled.
He advised Dr Nkwocha never to retire from his profession, rather “to re-tyre” his professionalism and move on to higher heights. He equally advised Mr Bibiye to work hard to fit into the big shoes being left by Dr Jossy Nkwocha. “He may not be tall but his shoes are quite big” he joked.
The Chairman of NUJ Rivers State Council Comrade Paul Bazia -Nsaneh in his goodwill message at the Happy Hour commended Indorama for sustaining its growth which according to him, “Indorama is one of the most successful companies that was privatized by the federal government” while expressing happiness that NUJ Rivers State Council has been part of the growth
“Indorama has grown from what it used to be, to become a company to reckon with and has expanded for the future ” He noted that Indorama has been a pillar of support to the journalism profession in Rivers State, while acknowledging the company’s contribution at the Just concluded World Press Freedom Day programme and Particularly thanked Dr Jossy Nkwocha for his presence at the event. He urged Journalists to ensure they give Indorama the coverage it desires, stating that he looks forward to a continuous partnership.
Expressing his joy for the turn up of Journalist, Mr Bibiyein his vote of thanks to Members of the Fourth Estate, said the interactive session was a reunion for him, noting that he stated his media practice in Rivers State before his transfer to Abuja.
Mr Biriye appealed for support, reminding the media men that he was part of the Port Harcourt media family. He described Indorama facilities and plants in Eleme, near Port Harcourt as a critical national asset.
