Kidnappers Arrested After Victims Lured Them With Fake Romance

Two suspected kidnappers have been arrested in Kaduna State following a dramatic twist that saw their victims turn the tables on them.
According to police sources, the suspects had abducted two married women and held them captive for several days. During their captivity, the women were repeatedly raped by the kidnappers. In a desperate bid to survive and secure their eventual freedom, the victims pretended to develop emotional feelings for their captors.
The women reportedly acted compliant and told the suspects they were enjoying the encounters, a tactic believed to have lowered the kidnappers’ guard. This manipulation eventually led to the exchange of phone numbers between the victims and their captors.
After their release, the women continued to communicate with the suspects, carefully maintaining the illusion of a romantic connection. Unknown to the kidnappers, the victims had already alerted security operatives and were working closely with the police to set a trap.
On Tuesday, the women contacted the suspects and invited them for what was presented as a romantic meeting. Confident and unsuspecting, the kidnappers agreed to the rendezvous.
However, upon arrival at the agreed location, the suspects were immediately apprehended by police officers who had been lying in wait. The two men were taken into custody without resistance.
Police authorities have confirmed the arrest and stated that investigations are ongoing. The suspects are expected to face charges related to kidnapping, rape, and other criminal offenses.
The incident has sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians praising the bravery and quick thinking of the victims, while also calling for stricter punishment for sexual violence and kidnapping.
Security agencies have once again urged the public to report suspicious activities and reaffirmed their commitment to tackling crime across the state.
