The incident reportedly occurred on December 17, following an argument between the deceased and his cousin, Chukwuemeka Uba, to whom Chisom had earlier lent a phone charger.
According to reports, trouble started when Chisom later went to retrieve the charger, a move that allegedly sparked a disagreement and argument that escalated into a violent confrontation, during which Chukwuemeka allegedly att@cked Chisom with a knife and st@bbed him to de@th. further reports indicate that the suspect’s father, Kenneth Uba, who is also the uncle of the deceased, allegedly joined in the assault and supported his son, the prime suspect.
The allegations were further corroborated by videos from the scene currently trending on social media, showing the victim’s mother recounting what transpired, as well as the body of the deceased lying on the hospital bed, and the burnt house of the suspects who were reportedly apprehended by angry youths.

According to her, his son was met with resistance when he went to retrieve the charger, as the suspects allegedly denied that the charger did not belong to him.
The unimaginable disagreement, she said, became heated, after which her son was allegedly locked inside a room and stabbed to de@th.
The bereaved mother further revealed that the youth had retrieved the knife with which her son was st@bbed to death and had also angrily set the house of the suspects ablaze in reaction to the abominable act.
“Because of charger, they took my son inside and k!lled him. They k!lled him inside the room with a knife. A new knife. The youths brought the knife out of the room,” she said in Igbo language.
