Many Christians have been in disenchantment about the various miracles recorded in the Bible. While some especially those who have shaky faith in Christ Jesus always stand on one leg, others see the records of deeds of the God in the Bible as mere facts that only existed in the minds of those who are disillusioned by the happenings in that era.
Just a few years ago, a popular Anambra Prophet, Odumeje was on the air about his claims to walk on the River Niger. The whole abracadabra didn’t hold water when the date of the melodramatic show elapsed without his demonstration. Consequently, the prophet later debunked the news that he wanted to replicate the miracle of Jesus Christ by walking on the River Niger.
It would also be recalled that an African pastor from Zambia thought he was a messenger of Jesus and asked to be buried alive.
The pastor James Sakara, from the Zion Church, was sure he would rise from his underground tomb after being buried alive for three days.
According to Zambia’s Diamond TV, the 22-year-old’s congregation wasn’t so sure about the plan but eventually three members agreed to check the young pastor in the makeshift grave.
Before being lowered to the ground, Sakara quoted from the Bible about what Jesus said to his disciples before he was betrayed.
The pastor was then placed in the grave with his hands tied in front of him before he had dirt piled on top of him.
The 22-year-old was left there for three days and, when members of his congregation dug him up, they discovered he had died. Spiritual rituals and ‘exercises to resuscitate him’ were conducted on the man’s body in the hope it would complete his resurrection, however, he remained dead.
Also, Daily Mail reported that one of the members of the church who helped in burying the man handed himself to police, while the other two are on the run.
