A newly formed militant group -Niger Delta Development Force Have threatened To resume hostilities Vowing it will bomb, shut down major oil installations in the Niger Delta over alleged  attempt by  FCT Minister Wike’s to stop Rivers LG Allocations using the courts.

The nascent Niger Delta Militant group also threatened to Roll Out Weapons in the Niger Delta should any Judge rule and stop allocations to the 23 Local Governments in Rivers State.

The spokesperson of the group, Justin Alabraba, in a statement on Sunday, stated that any judgment that denies local governments in Rivers State its statutory monthly allocation will be met with heavy destruction of oil installations.

The group said they can no longer watch as FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike allegedly continue to use Federal might and his relationship with judges to procure judgements that undermines Governor Sim Fubari governance of the state.

Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court, Abuja, is set to rule on Monday to stop allocations to LG in Rivers State. Abdulmalik is said to be loyal to Wike.

According to Justin Alabraba, spokesman of the Niger Delta Development Force said any judgement from any court in Abuja on Monday that denies Local Governments in Rivers State, will be met with heavy destructions of oil installations in the region. “Let them try it on Monday and see. We will shut down major oil pipeline and it would be the beginning of the worst to come. Wike cannot be using Tinubu’s powers to cause problems in Rivers state,” Alabraba said.

The threat raises concerns about potential violence and disruption in a region already fraught with socio-political challenges and a history of militancy tied to the oil industry. As the ruling date approaches, local authorities and stakeholders are bracing for possible fallout from the court’s decision.
