Two persons was said to have been killed at Berebabo axis of Gambia street, Mile 1 Diobu, Porthacourt on Saturday night (January 7,2022) following clash between Bar Beach Deck of Iceland and Castro House of Deygbam Cult groups we learnt.
We gathered hat the Deygbam cult group led by an outlaw Iceland member had ambushed the leader (Pilot) of the Bar Beach Iceland simply identified as Precious around the area yesterday night and gave him(Precious) several machete cuts which resulted to his death.
Our source disclosed that the suspected Deygbam cultists after hacking their first target to death stormed a building where another member of Bar Beach Iceland cult group is believe to be residing but met his absence.
The source stated that the suspected Deygbam cultists who met the absence of their target at the compound was said to have set the building on fire when they(Deygbam) cultists could not find their target.
The source further revealed that an elderly man who was trapped in the building set ablaze by the suspected Deygbam cultists was burnt to death by inferno.
Our correspondent reports that the rampaging cultists fled the scene before the arrival of Officers from Divisional Police headquarters Mile 1 and other Police formation.
As at Sunday their was heightened tension over fears of reprisals and counter reprisals by the two rival cult groups.
The spokesperson for the Rivers State Police command, SP Grace Iringe Koko who confirmed the incident said
