Ogu/Bolo Council Of Chiefs Hail Gov. Fubara For Appointing Their Son As Commissioner, Pledges Continuous Support

The Ogu/Bolo Area Council of Traditional Rulers has expressed appreciation to Governor Siminalayi Fubara on the appointment of one of its sons, the immediate past Caretaker Chairman of the Local Government Area, Rt. Hon. Evans Bipi  as Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development.

The Traditional Rulers in a communiqué issued at its 3rd quarterly Council meeting in Bolo said the appointment of Rt. Hon. Evans Bipi is well-deserved and a valuable addition to the Sate Executive Council given his pedigree and wealth of experience in public office.

The Amanyanabo of Bolo and Chairman of the Ogu/Bolo Area Council of Traditional Rulers, King Acheseinimie Micah-Frank who read the communiqué said they are confident that Rt. Hon. Evans Bipi will perform exceedingly well beyond expectations.

“Council wishes to convey our profound appreciation and immense gratitude to His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS on the appointment of our illustrious son, Rt. (Hon.) Evans Bapakaye Bipi, DSSRS, JP to serve in the State Executive Council as Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development an appointment well deserved. We know that the Enemies will be afraid of his Capacity as he will reinstate back the Garden City.“.

“His appointment is well-deserved once again and a valuable addition to the State Executive Council given his pedigree and wealth of experience in public office“.
We are strongly behind him(Evans Bipi).
“We have no doubt that he will perform exceedingly well beyond expectations and correct the wrongs. We heartily congratulate him on his well-deserved appointment while wishing him divine direction and excellent performance in office“.

The Ogu/Bolo Area Council of Traditional Rulers in the communiqué also congratulated the newly elected Executive Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Engr. Ishmael Oforibika and the Vice Chairman Barr. (Mrs.) Christy Tamunobereton-ari as well as Councillors of the 12 Wards of the LGA on their electoral victory and assumption of office.

They urged them to prioritize the welfare of the people and development of the area.

“Council heartily congratulates the newly elected Executive Chairman and Councillors of Ogu/Bolo LGA“.

“We urge them to judiciously use resources of the Local Government Council to improve the quality of life of the people and develop the area to complement the good efforts of His Excellency, the Governor of Rivers State and justify the mandate freely given to them by the people“.

The Ogu/Bolo Area Council of Traditional Rulers applauded Governor Fubara for his unwavering determination in ensuring that the October 5th, 2024 Local Government election in Rivers State was successfully held inspite of the odds.

“Council applauds the smooth conduct of 5th October, 2024 Local Government Election in Rivers State“.

“We commend the electorates of the LGA for turning out en masse and for their peaceful disposition during the election despite the absence of security agencies. We urge them to maintain this commendable tempo“.

“Council particularly commends the Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS for his unwavering determination in ensuring that the election was successfully held inspite of the odds“.

“We also commend the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) headed by Justice Adolphus Enebele (rtd) for conducting a credible and impeccable election which outcome was widely accepted“.

The Ogu/Bolo Area Council of Traditional Rulers also condemned the attack on some Local Government Secretariats by hoodlums in the aftermath of the election.

“Council vehemently condemns the wanton, willful and senseless destruction of government property in some Local Government Areas of the State in the aftermath of the election“.

“We therefore caution our Youths to refrain from being used as willing tools to perpetrate violence
