Peter Obi Lunches Online Registration Portal For Obidient Movement, Issues Identity Cards To Members

Former presidential candidate, of the Labor party, Mr. Peter Obi, has officially launched an online registration portal and identity cards for members of his Obidient Movement, both within Nigeria and across the diaspora.

This development was announced in a joint statement issued on Saturday by the Movement’s National Coordinator, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, and its Director of Strategic Communications and Media, Nana Kazaure.

According to the statement, the identity cards are designed with a QR code at the bottom right-hand corner for authentication and will feature the flag of the holder’s country of residence.

The Obidient registration portal supports Nigerians and fellow Obidients living in the diaspora,” the statement read. “You will observe that the ID has a flag on it. For example, if you’re not resident in Nigeria, the top right-hand corner will carry the flag of your country of residence.”

The leaders explained that the initiative aims to foster diversity, camaraderie, and unity among members, while emphasizing the global reach of the Obidient Movement. They added that every ID card, whether for Nigerians or diasporans, would carry the same “OBX” prefix

Highlighting the purpose of the QR code, the statement noted: “It can be scanned with any QR scanner, such as a smartphone, to give Obidients a secure and confident way of interacting with one another. If you choose to support or do business with an Obidient, you can scan the QR code or verify the OBX ID online to confirm that the person is who they claim to be.”
