A petroleum tanker carrying Premium Motor Spirit otherwise known as petrol overturned and went up in flames last night, Wednesday, February 11 at Ikeja Along area of Lagos State.
It was gathered that the petrol-laden tanker overturned, spilling its contents on the road and triggering a fire outbreak.
Officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and other emergency responders are at the scene.
The blaze spread around the tanker, causing fear among residents and road users nearby.
Emergency officials moved quickly to the scene to manage the situation.
Officers of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority and other rescue teams were present to control traffic and respond to the fire.
