The operatives of Hawk tatical unit attached to the Rivers State Police has arrested one Daniel Isaac, twenty six year old man,a native of Ohafia Local Government Area in Abia State over constant defilement of twelve year old child he brought from her parents from Bende Local Government Area of Abia State in 2025 as house maid to take care of his aged mother.
A neighbour to the suspect,Mrs Joy narrated that another of their neighbour revealed to her(joy) that Mr Daniel used to have sex with his(Daniel) daughter as people in the compound thought the twelve year old girl was the suspect’s daughter.
Mrs Joy disclosed that one fateful day She called the twelve year old rape victim and asked her,the victim told her, how the 26 year old suspect took her from her parents under the guise of house maid but has beibg raping her since he(suspect) brought her to Oyigbo.
The suspect,Mr Isaac while Fielding question from the Spokesperson for the Rivers State Police Command,CSP Grace Iringe Koko at Rivers Police headquarters, Moscow road, PortHarcourt confessed to the crime and said he had raped the victim six times even when he knows she is a minor.
Mr Isaac however pleaded for mercy.
The Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, Chief Superintendent of Police,CSP Grace Iringe Koko urged parents to exercise caution and carefulness before giving out their children to live with someone under any guise.
CSP Koko assured that the suspect will be arraigned in court upon completion of investigation.
