Police Recover, Identify Two Dec0mposing B0dies, Arrested 5 D£adly Northern K!dnappers in Imo State

Security operatives in Imo State have recorded a major breakthrough in the fight against violent crimes as five suspected deadly kidnappers were apprehended in a successful operation carried out deep inside a forested area of the state.


According to reports, the suspects—believed to have been responsible for a series of abductions and killings—were arrested after a coordinated security raid on their hideout. Disturbing discoveries were made at the scene, including two decomposing bodies with some body parts missing, suggesting possible ritual-related activities.
Identities of the Arrested Suspects
The five suspects, all from Jau Local Government Area in Jigawa State, have been identified as:
Ozeru Sabo – 25 years old, Male
Muazu Awuta – 30 years old, Male
Bashir Yahaya – 28 years old, Male
Saddam Suleiman – 27 years old, Male
Abdullahi Abubakar – 32 years old, Male
Security operatives disclosed that the syndicate had been terrorizing communities within the region, targeting travellers, farmers, and residents for kidnapping and ransom.
Gruesome Discovery in the Forest
Upon raiding the camp, operatives recovered two decomposing bodies, with reports indicating that some body parts were missing. This has raised concerns over possible ritual killings or the existence of a wider criminal network operating with the gang.
The bodies have been evacuated for further investigation, while the arrested suspects are currently undergoing interrogation to uncover more details about their operations, accomplices, and past crimes.

Community Relief as Security Forces Intensify Crackdown

Residents of the affected communities have expressed relief over the arrests, describing them as long-awaited justice. Many noted that the kidnappers had instilled fear and disrupted farming activities in recent months.
The Imo State Police Command has assured the public that more operations are underway to dismantle criminal syndicates across the state, urging citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate with security agencies.
