From Lili-  A trial will conceive you. This is the twin of Yoruba ‘magun.’ ‘Magun’ simply means don’t climb. Just a tiny thread left on the ground which the housewife unknowingly walks over or matches as she walks around the house. (Mind you the woman must not know of the evil ahead and the thread has been worked on by a native doctor or herbalist.) Once she crosses it she has been laced with magun and if she makes the mistake of being promiscuous, there is serious trouble. In the case of the Yoruba’s, either she is entangled to the man, or the man or the woman dies. In most cases, the man dies.
It may interest you that this magic works for them till tomorrow, especially in uncivilized communities.
