PDP, LP Ongoing Petitions At The Tribunal will Suffer a great deal, If Judiciary Workers Joins Proposed Strike by the Nigerian Labour Congress,
Recall that Election petition tribunals sitting across the country would be shut down this week as the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) announced that it would join the Nigeria Labour Congress in a job action over the removal of federal subsidies on petroleum products.
Now, the big question is, would this affect the current Election Petition Tribunal ongoing which is extremely time bound?

Unfortunately the judiciary workers can indeed embark on a strike to press home their demands, like other workers. However this position is indeed different from judges.

All those deemed to be in essential duties are exempted from strikes… This should not be different for those judges and staff handling election petitions, which are time bound.
