Repentant Boko Haram Member K!lls Businessman For Refusing to Give Him N1,000 in Borno

A repentant Boko Haram member working with CJTF personnel has allegedly k!lled a man identified as Alhaji Jidda Muhammad, in Mafa Local Government Area of Borno State.

A friend of the deceased, Asharif Dan Borno, confirmed the incident in a Facebook post on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

According to him, the suspects shot Muhammad after he refused to give him N1000.

“Today, I share devastating news with a heavy heart. My dear friend, Alhaji Jidda Muhammad, was brutally m8rdered by a retired Boko Haram member near Mafa, LGA of Borno State,” he wrote.
He was returning from Gomboru Ngala to Maiduguri when they stopped him, demanded N1,000, and—upon his refusal—shot him with AK-47 rifles.

“This wasn’t just a robbery. It was a cold-blooded execution. And it reflects the terrifying reality that many in Borno face daily: where former insurgents roam freely, extorting and killing innocent civilians with impunity.

“How did we get here? How can known terrorists operate unchecked? Why is leadership silent while our people are slaughtered? This is not just about one man. It’s about a broken system. A failure of justice. A failure of protection. A failure of leadership.”
