Rivers Pensioners Frowns At The Toxic Political Atmosphere In State, Set To Match To The Street In Solidarity With Gov. Fubara

Pensioners in Rivers state have described the political atmosphere in the state as inimical to the growth of businesses, development and prosperity of the state and called on the political gladiators to Sheath their sword.

The state chairman of Pensioners in Rivers state, Comrade  Collins Nwankwo says the political atmosphere in the state is unhealthy for any meaningful  growth of businesses, and will hinder investors from bringing needed funds that will boost development of the state.

Mr. Nwankwo in an interview called on the political gladiators to Sheath their sword for the interest of the state

He said  arising from the unions first quarterly Congress held in D/LINE Port Harcourt, We’ the senior citizens have resolved to take to the street to show our support to the governor, Leadership is turn by turn, since God has chosen Gov. Similaye Fubara to lead at this material time, he needs all our Support to be able to move the state forward.

“As Senior Citizens who have built the state, we will not fold our hands and watch politicians destroy what we have labored and threatened that they will take to the street very soon to showcase their grievance:” He said “some Us either put in 35 years in services or those who didn’t enter service early enough retire at the compulsory age of 60 years, so we are no babies when we talk about issues of the state. remember that Governor Fubara is an astute civil servant? and also a retired pensioner even if its for one day, he retired from the service to take up the mantle of leadership in the state”, so we  will support him to move the state forward, Mr. Nwankwo concluded
