Reports said he and two other people travelling on the New Calabar River in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State from Elem Kalabari to Port and were intercepted by sea pirates on Wednesday and abducted.
The kidnappers later established contact with their families and demanded N10 million ransom. But by Friday afternoon news came that he had been killed.
