Nigeria Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti, has promised to cooperate fully with the police after the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, ordered his arrest.
The order came after Kuti was captured assaulting an officer in a viral video.
In the video that emerged on Saturday, Kuti was seen pointing to the unidentified police officer before proceeding to push and slap the officer.
Reacting, The IGP Baba Usman Alkali ordered the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command to arrest the singer, as it was said that the incident happened in the state.
Following the order for his arrest, Kuti wrote on his Instagram story, “I welcome the investigation and will give my full cooperation! I also pray to the IG that whoever is wrong should be indicted.”
