Six Arrested As Anambra Security Team Cracks Down on Crime: Launch Manhunt For Notorious Cultist/Gunrunner Known as “Kiss Me”

Operatives of the Joint Security Team, comprising, Anambra State Police Command and the Anambra State Vigilante, has intensified its offensive operations across the three senatorial districts of the state, achieving significant breakthroughs in Anambra South Senatorial District. The team arrested six suspects linked to armed robbery and vandalism in Oko community and its environs, while declaring a manhunt for a notorious cultist and gunrunner known as “Kiss Me.”

On the evening of May 19, 2025, two suspects, Anagor Chinedu (25) and Anagor Rapuluchukwu (23), were apprehended in Ifite village, Oko. A Beretta pistol was recovered from the duo, who confessed to being members of the Beggars’ Confraternity and identified their armorer as the wanted criminal “Kiss Me.” The Joint Security Team has since launched a manhunt to dismantle the criminal network and apprehend the suspect.

In a separate operation, operatives responded to a distress call regarding vandalism at the permanent site of the Federal Polytechnic Oko. Four suspects—Chukwuka Usulor, Chukwuemeka Michael, Ikenna Oke, and Ebuka Okeke—were arrested for vandalizing electrical wires. The team recovered assorted quantities of stolen cable wires from the scene.

SP Tochukwu Ikenga, Police Public Relations Officer for the Anambra State Police Command, reiterated the Command’s commitment to curbing criminal activities. “We remain resolute in denying criminals the space to wreak havoc in Anambra State,” he stated.

The ongoing operations underscore the Joint Security Team’s dedication to maintaining law and order across the state, with sustained efforts to ensure the safety of residents and their property.
