Terrorist Swoops On Kaduna, Katsina Communities, Abducts 40, K!ll 10 Others In Renewed Attacks

Armed terrorists between Sunday and Monday unleashed terror on parts of Kaduna and Katsina states in the Northwest region killing about 10 people and abducted over 40 people.

Reports indicate that the terrorists invaded Arak village in Sanga Local Government Area, Kaura and Kajuru all in Southern Kaduna, a predominatly Christian populated area between Sunday and Monday morning.

In Arak, the terrorist struck twice between Saturday and Sunday, while on Saturday, the terrorists killed a man identified as Habila Avarik in the presence of his family including his aged and sick mother, wife and daughter, and by Sunday night the terrorists returned and abducted the aged mother, wife and daughter of their earlier victim.

The abducted woman who has been identified as Mrs. Averik Arak was violently taken away alongside her granddaughter. Reports from the village confirmed to the media that the Mrs. Habila and her daughter were later murdered by the terrorists leaving the aged woman in anguish.

Also in a separate attack on Kauru and Kajuru local governments, the terrorists reportedly abducted 15 villagers, mostly minors, from Unguwan Sarki Maro in Kajuru Local Government Area.

In Kaura Local Government Area, the terrorists pounced on Kadage village where they abducted 16 people while some villagers could not be accounted for at press time.

In Katsina State, the terrorists invaded several communities in the night where residents were killed and several others abducted.

According to SaharaReporters the attacks took place on Monday night in several communities including, Unguwar Alhaji Barau, Gidan Dan Mai-gizo, and Gidan Hazo communities, all located in Na’alma Ward of Malumfashi Local Government Area.

At press time that shocked villagers are yet to collate the accurate number of victims as well as those abducted by the terrorists.

Katsina and Zamfara states have been in the front lines of violent assaults by the terrorists who have sacked several communities, displaced hundreds of thousands and killed over 2000 residents, while hundreds are believed to still be in the captivity of the terrorists.

In the last two months, the terrorists who have become feudal lords over vast territories in the two Northwestern states had entered into some truce with villagers who are forced to pay taxes to terrorists and risk being killed or abducted for ransom. But security analysts reveal that the terrorists have continually broken the peace agreements entered with the communities.
