University Wilds Big Stick -Expels 60 Students Over Exam Malpractices

The decision was taken by the university’s Senate at its 43rd statutory meeting held on January 7, 2026, following a comprehensive review of findings and recommendations submitted by relevant academic and disciplinary committees.

The development was made public in an official announcement shared on the university’s verified Facebook page.

According to the statement, investigations established that the affected students were involved in various acts that contravene the university’s examination rules and regulations.

“After reviewing the cases, the Senate approved the expulsion of the students in accordance with the university’s examination regulations,” the statement said.

BUK reaffirmed its commitment to upholding academic integrity, stressing that it would continue to enforce strict sanctions against examination misconduct as a deterrent to future violations.
