The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Olatunji Disu Has described Riots drills performed by Police wives as Impeccable.
CP Disu stated this after watching drills performed by Their wives and women married to police Officers.
He said “the women have done wonderfully well, I cant believe that This drills they undertook today took them just one week to practice and yielding this well coordinated and perfect drill,
He said Infact I give them hundred percent, because their drills where without mistakes and near perfect. really they have done well, I want to also thank the Inspector general of Police IGP’s wife Mrs. Elizabeth Egbetokun whose idea it is to allow the women play roles of their husbands so they can better understand what their Husbands face on a day to day office fronts, shifts and other official functions in keeping our communities and country safe.
The Police boss also thanked IGP’s Wife for her generous support in commemoration of POWA’s 60th anniversary celebration.
CP Olatunji Disu stated that Police Officers’ Wives are special women, see this activities performed by our wives today would not be forgotten in a hurry or erased from our memories “We are going to keep the pictures of our wives in this uniforms in our various houses, Our wives knows everything about us. Most of them are our prayer warriors .
“Our wives gives us emotional intelligence. Advice, Pray for us. The perfect parade by them today, means they learnt a lot from us. They should make our home conducive. If after work, your home is not conducive, you will not want to return home. A Police officer without conducive home cannot be a good Police officer.
Also enumerating the Joy of been married to police officers Rivers CP wife Mrs. Olufunmilola Disu, “We know the challenges and sacrifices that come with this noble profession. The sleepless nights, the constant worries, the fear of the unknown-these are the burdens we carry day in and day out.
“We are the rock upon which our husbands can lean, the safe harbor they return to after a long and difficult shift. Throughout the years ,Police Officers’ Wives Association has being a beacon of light, guiding us through the darkest of times, from offering emotional support and counselling services to organizing charitable initiatives and educational programs” she said.
