What Peter Obi Said After Secret Meeting With Jonathan In Abuja

Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, has broken his silence after holding a private meeting with former President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja on Thursday.

Obi revealed details of the visit in a post shared on his verified X handle, describing Jonathan as his “elder brother, statesman, and leader.”

According to the former Anambra State governor, their discussion behind closed doors was “fruitful” and centered on pressing national issues.

The meeting comes at a time of growing speculation within political circles, linking both Jonathan and Obi as possible presidential contenders under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 elections.

Obi wrote:

“Today in Abuja, I met with my very dear elder brother, statesman, and leader, former President Goodluck Jonathan @GEJonathan. We had a fruitful closed-door meeting and discussed the state of our dear nation.
