8-Yr-Old Pupil Flogged Into Coma By Wicked Teacher Dies In Anambra

The 8-year old pupil flogged to coma by a teacher, Faith Nwonye in Landmark School Mgbakwu in Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra state has died.

The Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh who disclosed this to our reporter, described the incident as unfortunate.

Chuma-Udeh had announced the closure of the school and arrest of the teacher following the ugly incident and illegal operation of the school.

She also disclosed that the suspect had been arrested, while the victim was admitted in a hospital where the doctor had revealed that chances of victim’s survival was 20percent, according to the doctor.
“Yes, the little child has died. He likely died last night but I received the information today. It’s unfortunate we lost him. But the teacher will face the music,” she said.

The Commissioner on her Facebook page, quipped, “He was a boy..like any other, with hopes and aspirations. He went to school for a better future but met gruesome death at the hands of the people who were supposed to help him achieve his life ambition.

“A quack teacher in an illegal school bludgeoned him to death. We mourn a life nipped in the bud! We mourn Henry Chukwuemeka Okonkwo! We mourn and we seek justice!”

Anambra People gathered that the deceased was flogged by the teacher for allegedly stealing buns from his class mate.

The child was said to have received the beating more of the beating on the head in the office of the Proprietor who doubles as the headmistress.
