Gov. Fubara Unscheduled Visit To Assembly Quarters Startled Rivers Lawmakers

The face-off between the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, and the 27 lawmakers loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, took a new twist on Friday as armed policemen took over all the entrances to the House of Assembly quarters located along the Aba Road, Port Harcourt, the state capital.

Recall that the executive governor of Rivers State Sir Siminalaye Fubara paid a surprise visit to the Rivers State House of Assembly quarters to access if some renovation work will go on there. and  said it appears some renovation work May be done on some of the buildings any moment from now

The lawmakers who were Said to have allegedly lost their seat following their defections from PDP to APC were seen running out their quarters

However The factional Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule, has accused Governor Siminalayi Fubara of planning to demolish the State Assembly quarters.
