Rivers PDP Chooses Which Court Order To Obey, Conducts State Congress, Supervised By FCT Minister

All is now set for the State Congresses of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) where the State executives of the party will be elected according to the PDP Constitution and Time Table.

We gathered that the event which had attracted the Minister of the FCT, HE. Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, GSSRS CON POS Africa, as he arrived Port Harcourt on friday, ahead of the Saturday state PDP congress.

The event which is currently going is devoid of the State Governors input but supervised by some national officers loyal to the PDP Acting national chairman

Recall that a High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, on Tuesday, barred the Peoples Democratic Party from conducting its congress in the state. “an interim order is hereby issued stopping or suspending the PDP congress in Rivers State scheduled to hold on 27 July or to be held on any order date or any other location pending the determination of the motion on notice already filed.

The court gave the order in a suit PHC/2282/CS/2024 filed by Hon. David Chiinedu Omereji, Hon. Prince Solomon Eke, Isodoye Tobin, Goddy Manfred Pepple, Okiah Precious Chigozirim, Hon. Orolosama Peter Amachree, Goodfriday Nweke, Alfred Letam, Hon. Wechie Ndubisi Raymond, Mrs. Erebie Michael and Hon. Ogenma Idalunimulu against PDP, the party’s National Chairman, National Financial Secretary, and the National Organising Secretary.
