Fire Guts Spare Parts Market In Ibadan

A early morning fire broke out at spare parts market at Gate, Ibadan, Oyo State, and causing losses estimated in billions of naira.

The fire according to eye witnesses started around midnight, continued to rage as firefighters and local residents worked tirelessly to control the flames.

Confirming the fire incident, the General Manager of the Oyo State Fire Services, Mr. Akinyemi Akinyinka, said there is an ongoing effort to put the fire to rest, urging water tanker owners to assist in the effort.“The cause of the fire remains unknown, with investigations currently underway to determine its source,” he added.
