MASSOB Asks Govt. To Ban Mortuaries, Issues New Directives On Burying After 4 Market Days In AlaIgbo

Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra MASSOB has told the religious leaders and governors from the Southeast to frown at preserving dead bodies in mortuaries.

MASSOB said preserving dead bodies in mortuaries has dire consequences as the spirits of the dead are roaming around without rest.

This statement was made by MASSOB leader Comrade Uchenna Madu on Monday.

“The wandering and restless spirits of unburied dead bodies in mortuaries are continuously possessing the younger people, leading and influencing them into all manners of criminalities, evil and wicked acts without fear of the dire consequences of their actions.

“These spiritual influences have erased their godly consciences and replaced them with all kinds of immorality, lust for bloodshed, lust for wealth and mundane things.

“This raging possession of Igbo Youths and young men has created a strong urge of getting quick wealth without meaningful work or trading.

“The tap root of all criminal tendencies, evil and wicked activities in the lives of the young men and women in our society is the possession and influence of the spirits of unburied dead bodies in mortuaries,” he stated.

He also urged religious leaders to stop members of their churches from bringing dead bodies in caskets because it corrupts the holiness of the temple
