UK Conservative Leader Kemi Badenoch Launches ‘Radical Borders Plan,’ Proposes To Deport 150,000 Illegal Migrants Annually using the new Removals Force, modelled after the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
Leader of the UK Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, has launched a sweeping new immigration plan, describing it as the “toughest reforms Britain has ever seen” to secure the country’s borders.
In a video message posted on her X account on Sunday, Badenoch announced the launch of a new Removals Force, by unveiling what she called the Radical Borders Plan, and criticised successive administrations, both Conservative and Labour, for failing to address the migration crisis effectively.
She accused Labour of overseeing record levels of illegal crossings and mismanaging public funds on asylum accommodations.
“Our new Removals Force, modelled on US ICE, will deport 150,000 illegal migrants each year,” she wrote.
In the video she posted, she said, “Today, I’m launching our Radical Borders Plan, the toughest reforms Britain has ever seen to border laws and operations. Successive governments have failed on immigration. Labour promised to smash the gangs.
“Instead, in just a year, they delivered record small boat crossings. Over 50,000 illegal arrivals. 32,000 people in asylum hotels.
“Billions wasted. It’s pure weakness. Britain needs a serious, credible plan and the backbone to deliver it.”
The proposed plan includes banning asylum claims for illegal entrants, withdrawing from the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), and repealing the Human Rights Act. It also aims to deport all illegal arrivals within a week, eliminate legal obstacles to mass deportations, and enforce visa sanctions on countries that refuse to repatriate their citizens.
Badenoch said the measures would “shut down the asylum hotel racket,” save billions in taxpayer money, and restore public confidence in Britain’s border system.
“Only the Conservatives have a serious, credible plan to deliver stronger borders,” she said. “If you come here illegally, you will be deported.”
