Engr. Tabara Samuel Kato, National President of SOKAPU gave this press conference on 22nd of January, 2026 at the Press centre to appreciate the efforts of both the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Kaduna State Government on efforts they are putting to contain the problem of insecurity in the country as a whole and Kaduna State specifically.
Going further, he commended the State Governor Senator Uba Sani for promptly visiting the community of Kurmi Wali in Kajuru Local Government Area to commiserate with the community which was attacked by bandits on Sunday 18th January, 2026, Governor Uba Sani is the first Governor to ever visit the community and there issued directive to the Commissioner of Works to prompt him on issue of the road. He profoundly declared that Hospital, security presence and other infrastructural amenities shall be provided to the community with dispatch.
He further commended the President and Governor’s untiring and concerted efforts at the deployment of security mechanism to ensure protection of lives and properties since assumption of office in the last two years running, remain worthy of appreciation, encouragement and commendation even though there are some unavoidable hitches as it occurs in every human endeavour.
Despite the hitches, the Federal and State Governments are encouraged to please continue to intensify efforts securing the safe release of the kidnapped victims, and also unlease a total crack down on the activities of armed bandits and kidnapper in all parts of Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is hereby commended on various development strides he is making efforts for the good of Nigeria and the citizens. Of Particular attention he noted, is the recent appointment of Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa (Rtd) as the Minister of Defence, shortly after his retirement from active Service.
Equally, the growing yearning of Nigerians across all manner of social divisions, calling for the consideration of Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd) as the next Presidential running mate to Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In this regard, the entire Southern Kaduna People are appreciative of this wonderful gesture by Nigerians and happily embrace it with great humility we support and pray that it succeed.
Engr. Kato concluded that the people shall continue to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Senator Uba Sani in every ramification of their endeavours.
During questions and clarification Session, a Journalist wanted to know the reaction of Southern Kaduna People on the initial denial of the attack by the Governor on national Television. In reply, Engr. Kato said that immediately the Governor confirmed the truth, he mobilized to visit the community which is a sign of responsible leadership.
