Akuku-Toru Gets New CTC Chairman As Gov. Fubara Sacks Barrister Otonye Briggs

The Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, Hon Barrister Otonye Briggs, has been suspended with immediate effect.

The Governor has directed Hon Bitebobo Nelson Amieye, to immediately take over as Chairman.

Barrister Otonye Briggs is hereby directed to hand over all council property in his possession to the Caretaker Committee Chairman.

Recall that Governor in an earlier statement through the chief Press secretary suspended Barrister Otonye Briggs.

The statements reads:

In an unexpected move, the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, Hon. Barrister Otonye Briggs, has been suspended with immediate effect by the Governor of Rivers State.

Effective immediately, Hon. Bitebobo Nelson Amieye has been appointed to take over as the new Chairman of the Caretaker Committee.

The humiliated Barrister Otonye Briggs is instructed to hand over all council property in his possession to his successor without delay.
