Anambra Police PRO SP Tochukwu Ikenga, Honored For Outstanding Contributions To Policing At The IGP Awards

The Anambra State Police Command Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, was celebrated at the prestigious Inspector General of Police Award Ceremony held in Abuja on June 4, 2025. The event recognized outstanding contributions to policing, with SP Ikenga receiving an award for his exemplary service.

In his acceptance speech, SP Ikenga emphasized that the accolade was a collective achievement, crediting the officers and personnel of the Anambra State Police Command for their collaborative efforts. “This award is not a trophy for a lone effort but a testament to the renewed vision and deeper resolve of our team to strive for excellence,” he stated. He expressed humility in receiving the honor, vowing to channel it into a fiercer determination to serve the public even better.

SP Ikenga highlighted the trust of the community as the Command’s greatest asset, urging citizens to continue providing feedback to shape their decisions. “Your comments inform most of the decisions we take as a Command,” he noted, reaffirming the Command’s commitment to protecting with courage and serving with compassion.

The PPRO extended gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, the Police Management Team, the AIG Zone 13, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State, the Force PRO, and the media, whom he referred to as the “Fourth Estate of the Realm,” for their unwavering support.

The award underscores the Anambra State Police Command’s dedication to excellence and public service, marking a new chapter in their mission to uphold safety and trust in the state.
