Angry Nasarawa Youths Sets Mans Car Ablaze, Burnt His Grandfathers House For Stabbing Wife’s Brother To Death

A car belonging to one Mr Emmanuel Sani, has been reportedly set ablaze by irate youths in Mararaba Udege, Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State after he allegedly killed his brother-in-law.

The youths also demolished and set ablaze the residence of the suspect’s grandfather in the community.

It was gathered that during a heated argument at his father in-law’s residence around 3:pm on Saturday, November 23, 2024, Sani allegedly stabbed the younger brother to his estranged wife, Mr. Lazarus, with a knife who later confirmed d3ad in the hospital.

The suspect was said to have escaped from the community narrowly after the incident, leaving behind his vehicle, which was set ablaze.

A Facebook user, Abdulmalik Mikail, who also confirmed the incident in a Facebook post, appealed to the public with any useful information on his whereabouts to report to the Police.

“He is called Emmanuel Sani. Please, do not hesitate to reach out to us or to the nearest police station when you see this face. He just stabbed my little cousin who happened to be his brother in-law to death”, Mikail wrote on Facebook.

The spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Ramhan Nansel, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Saturday night said the suspect has been arrested.

The PPRO added that the corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the General Hospital, Nasarawa.
