APC Soon To Control Two- Third Majority in The Nigerian Senate

INTERESTING DAYS AHEAD

A verified report by AIT revealed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is now just three seats away from achieving a two-thirds majority in the Nigerian Senate, an important constitutional threshold needed to amend the constitution, override presidential vetoes, and initiate impeachment proceedings.

This significant shift follows the defection of four senators from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling APC earlier today, each citing irreconcilable divisions within the PDP as the reason for their decision.

APC now controls 70 out of 109 seats in the Senate just three short of the 73 seats required for a two-thirds majority, putting the party in a stronger position to drive its legislative agenda without requiring bipartisan support.

Congratulations APC and shame on the opposition. Even if Tinubu later seeks an amendment for a third term, I will not blame him since the opposition chose to be greedy and stupid. Also, President Tinubu is fast practically making his re-election in 2027 easier, and funny enough, no legislator has decamped to either ADC or Labour Party.
