Armed Gang Shoots Printer Dead 3 Days After Killing Man In PH

Gunmen suspected to be cultists on Saturday night(15,March,2024) shot dead a printer identified as George Johnson Sopruchi at Abakiliki street close to Emenike, Mile 1 Diobu, Portharcourt.

Eyewitnesses who craved anonymity told our reporter that the gunmen trailed the printer to Abakiliki close to Emenike street at about 8:30pm and shot him dead while he was discussing with someone .

The eyewitness also disclosed that the gunmen carted away his motorcycle and one of his mobile phone .Our source stated that on lookers rushed the victim to the hospital were he was confirmed dead on Sunday morning.

Recall that the spokesperson for the Rivers State Police, SP Grace Iringe Koko had confirmed the killing of a man last Thursday night(14,March,2024) at Nanka/Lumuber street Mile 1 Diobu adding that investigation is ongoing to apprehend the culprits.

The Rivers Police Command was yet to respond to the latest incident at Abakiliki.

In the meantime, the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Disu has warned cultists and other criminal to steer clear off crime as the hand of the law is closer to them than they realized.

CP Disu reiterated the warning in a statement on Sunday,March,17,2024 by Public Relations Officer of the command SP Grace Iringe Koko while announcing the arrest and arraignment of main suspect, Ejike Samuel, Victor Kokoriko in Portharcourt gang war last month.

The statement disclosed that the suspects were arrested by Mile 1 Police Division and later transferred to Anti-cultism following credible intelligence.
