Attention-seeking Food Influencer Dies After Eating ‘Devil Crab’ for Social Media Clout

Philippine authorities have warned the public to be cautious after a food influencer reportedly d+ed from consuming a p%isonous crustacean known as a “devil crab.”

The victim, 51-year-old Emma Amit, allegedly ate the toxic shellfish while filming content for social media, according to Viral Press.

In the video, Amit and her friends were seen harvesting shellfish from a mangrove forest on February 4 near her home in Puerto Princesa, a coastal town in Palawan.

Officials say the incident highlights the dangers of consuming unfamiliar seafood and have urged the public to seek proper guidance before trying wild or exotic species.
