Court Remands Three Homos3xual Men Caught In The Act

The Nigeria Police Force, Anambra State Command, has arraigned three male suspects before the Special Court in Awka over alleged involvement in an unnatural offence in violation of the Criminal Code Act.

The suspects — identified as Chizitem Nwankwo (20), Uche Paul (36), and Chinedu Maduekwe (40) — were arraigned following an intensive investigation that uncovered credible intelligence and substantial evidence linking them to the alleged crime (engaging in a same-sex relationship contrary to the provisions of the law).

Police spokesperson SP Tochukwu Ikenga confirmed in a statement on Wednesday, October 15, that the case file was subsequently forwarded to the Department of Public Prosecutions (DPP), which recommended their prosecution.

All three defendants have been remanded in a correctional facility in the state pending further court proceedings.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, reiterated the Command’s firm stance on upholding the rule of law.

“The Command remains resolute in ensuring that all criminal matters are thoroughly investigated and prosecuted in line with legal provisions. We are committed to maintaining law and order and ensuring justice is served,” Orutugu stated.

He also called on residents to continue supporting the police with credible information that could aid ongoing efforts to rid the state of crime and criminality.

“With the support of the public, we will continue to pursue justice within the bounds of the law,” he added.

The case has now entered the prosecution stage as the suspects await trial.
