The Anambra State Government has declared Friday, 18th July, 2025 as Work-free day to allow workers participate in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration(CVR) exercise.
The directive was contained in a letter released on Thursday, 17th July, 2025, and signed by the state Head Of Service, Barrister Mrs. Theodora Igwegbe.
The letter stated that, “the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR has graciously approved Friday, 18th July, 2025 as work-free day for all civil servants and public servants in the state.”
“This is to enable eligible workers to travel to their respective communities to participate in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.”
Furthermore, the statement read, ” Government recognizes the importance of active civic engagement and encourages all to take advantage of the opportunity to complete voter registration, update details, or transfer registration as necessary.”
“All Heads of Commission, Non-Ministerial Departments and Permanent Secretaries are requested to bring the contents of this circular to the attention of their staff and ensure strict compliance”.
