Delta Nursing School Students Disgrace President Tinubu’s Wife During Visit

Nursing School Students Disgrace President Tinubu’s Wife During Visit Students at the Delta State School of Nursing have been seen in a video, chorusing a song to reject President Bola Tinubu’s wife, Oluremi, as “our mother.” As part of her project, the Renewed Hope Initiative, Oluremi recently visited Delta State. While the Master of Ceremony said, “Na our mama be this” (translated as “this is our mother”), the students responded, “Na your mama be this” (translated as “this is your mother”).

During the visit, the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, claimed that the country was witnessing a great transformation in the health sector. He had commended Oluremi Tinubu for her strong determination and dedication to improving the lives of ordinary Nigerians, especially through the visible activities of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) since its inception in 2023. Professional kits were subsequently presented by the First Lady to the wives of governors, who also serve as RHI State coordinators for the states of the South-South geopolitical zone.

Upon her arrival, the First Lady paid a visit to the Traditional Rulers’ Council Chambers of Delta State, where all the rulers were holding their monthly meeting, chaired by the Orodje of Okpe, retired Major General Felix Mujak Peruo.
However, a part of the event that generated reactions on social media was a video showing the students of the Delta State School of Nursing receiving the First Lady. The Master of Ceremony had called Oluremi Tinubu “everyone’s mother,” in apparent reference to her “being the mother of the nation.”

The students, however, rejected this title. While the Master of Ceremony said, “Na our mama be this” (translated as “this is our mother”), the students responded, “Na your mama be this” (translated as “this is your mother”). First Ladies are usually referred to as the “mother of the nation.” Although it is unclear why the students rejected this label, Nigerians have lamented the harsh living conditions under the administration of Bola Tinubu, citing issues ranging from high costs of living to insecurity.
Recently, Nigerians launched a 30-day Rant Challenge against the Bola Tinubu administration. Many participants shared stories of the hardships they face under the administration of Bola Tinubu in a bid to survive
