The Defence For Human Rights And Democracy (DHRD), In strong terms condemn the heinous attacks on journalists.
It has become a serious threat to life on many journalists who are targeted while on their lawful assignment thereby making journalists an endangered;species especially in Rivers State.
Most recently, Mr. Charles Opurum of channels television was attacked few weeks after Ambassador Allwell Ene (also known as Kpokpo master) of Beat,Classis and Naija Fm was assaulted to the point of death; all of these incidents happened in Port Harcourt
On this very sad note,The Defence For Human Rights And Democracy (DHRD),therefore, call on the Commissioner Of Police Rivers State Command CP Olugbenga Adepoju,to fish out all the criminals who have been attacking journalists and commence immediate prosecution as this will serve as a deterrent to those who intend to engage in such dastardly act.
