Education Is Good But You Must Have Skills To Support It- Rivers Dep Gov. Tells Youths

I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT WORKING WITH YOUNG PEOPLE: BANIGO

Rivers State Deputy Governor and PDP Candidate for Rivers West Senatorial District in the upcoming General Elections, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo says she is passionate about working with young people.

Dr. Banigo stated this while playing host to a delegation of Abua/Odual Youths Aborigines (AOYA) at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, 7th February, 2023.

Dr. Banigo said when she gets into the Senate she would make sure that young people are properly educated, adding that she would not have been the Deputy Governor if her parents had not educated her.

“You have to be properly skilled, education is good but you must have skills, that will support that education you have. I love to see youths that are self-reliant and gainfully employed that is my passion”.

The Deputy Governor who decried the suffering of the coastal communities, stressed that one of the things she would do is to lead a legislation at the federal level to mitigate the sufferings of our people by the Grace of God and with their support when she gets there.

Dr. Banigo who expressed delight for the visit said “I am happy to hear that you were one of the groups that embraced our amnesty by the Governor some few years back, and to hear that you have remained peaceful in Abua/Odual, because as you know without peace we cannot afford any form of development.

Thanks for supporting our campaign, our slogan is kingdom mandate, our mantra is righteousness, justice, peace and joy to the people. We believe that God is calling us to restore the land, we believe that if there is a righteous government, the people will rejoice, we want our youths to rejoice, there should be joy in their lips, because the future is yours, you are our leaders not only tomorrow but from today, so we want to invest in you and make sure that you have what it takes to lead our people community, State and Nation”.

In his remarks the Chairman of Abua/Odual Youths Aborigines Mr. Peter Victor said they were at her office to identify, assist and support her before during and after the election because they have taken a judicious notice of her good works in the Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike led Administration.

According to him as a Deputy Governor, a mother, sister and friend they would continue to fellow her as a group until she gets to the Senate, stressing that youth restiveness was zero in their local government Area.
