One ONYEDIKACHI OHUCHIE, who is a father to one of the two children allegedly murdered by ANTEKAN SUNDAY who claimed to have been directed to submit human blood for rituals by his native doctor KINGSLEY OPURUM has informed a Rivers State High court that the first accused confessed that the second defendant asked him to submit the blood.
OHUCHIE made the submission at the witness box during cross examination where he clarified that he did not know the two accused persons before they committed the crime but knew them upon their arrest.
The trial judge, Justice RITA OGUGUA, after listening to the witness, adjourned till 7th and 13th of November, 2025 for cross examination of prosecution witness number two.
ANTEKAN SUNDAY and his native doctor KINGSLEY OPURUM are facing three count charge bothering on conspiracy and murder of two minors around Rukpukwu town in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
According to count one of the charges, ANIEKAN SUNDAY and KINGSLEY OPURUM had on or about the 22nd day of March 2025, at Rukpukwu town conspire amongst themselves and murder their targets.
ANTEKAN SUNDAY who is the prime suspect is alleged to have used ketchen knife to slaughter the two minor and extracted the blood as directed by his native doctor, KINGSLEY OPURUM, who allegedly planned to use to blood for money rituals in favour of the the first defendant.
Rivers State government through the Ministry of Justice represented by PRECIOUS ORDU after the recept of the report from Department of Public Prosecution took over the prosecution of two accused.
