Nigeria’s Federal Government has approved the implementation of the VPASS biometric system across domestic airports in a move aimed at improving aviation security, data integrity, and passenger identification. The decision was announced as part of ongoing efforts to modernize airport operations and strengthen safety measures in the country’s aviation sector.
Authorities say the new system will also help improve revenue generation and reduce identity-related issues at airports. The rollout is expected to be implemented in phases across major domestic terminals nationwide as part of broader reforms in the aviation industry
