Fleeing Suspected Kidnapper, Over 10 Others Arrested As Police Raid Amnesty Barracks, Shanties Dismantled

Operatives of Olu-Obansijo Police Division, Octopus Strike Force and other tactical units in Rivers State yesterday(Tuesday) 26,March,2024 raided a notorious armed gang hideout in Mile 3 axis of Diobu known as ‘Amnesty Barrack’ and arrested fleeing suspected kidnappers and over ten persons, we learnt .

Our correspondent reports that the Police at about 11am on Tuesday chased suspected kidnappers from Olu-Obasanjo who drove through the Ikoku flyover down to Azikiwe street where they abandoned their car and jumped down from the flyover.

The combined team of Police cordoned off Azikiwe section of the flyover and its environs where the security operatives commenced search for the gunmen in brothels at Azikiwe street and its environs.

Sources disclosed to revelationagents.com that the Police after two hours of technical and credible intelligence trailed the suspected kidnappers to ‘Amnesty Barrack’ in Mile 3 where two of them and other hoodlums were arrested and taken to Olu-Obasanjo Police Division and later taken to one of the tactical units of the Police in Rivers State .

We also gathered that some shanties erected by hoodlums in the ‘Amnesty Barrack’ were dismantle and destroyed.

The Police is yet to officially respond to the incident as at time of this report
