Gunmen Suspected To Be Hired Assassin Kills APC Chairman In Delta State

Gunmen suspected to be hired assassins have killed a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Sylvester Efeurhobo, in Delta State. It was gathered that the APC stalwart was shot dead by the assailants who stormed his country home in Agbarho, Ughelli North Local Government Area of the State

The deceased was said to be the chairman of an APC support group in the locality known as the Achievers Group in Agbarho.

He was described as “a dedicated party faithful, a brother and father, generous to the bone”.

Party faithful in the community have since called on security agencies, particularly the police, to “fish out the hooligans and ensure that justice takes its due course in the matter”. “The perpetrators should be brought to book, as we do mourn the deceased”, the party leaders stated.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer for Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the killing.

The PPRO affirmed that three suspects have been apprehended in connection with the gruesome murder just as investigation is ongoing.

He said, “Confirmed, we are still investigating. So far, three suspects have been arrested”.
